I currently have 5400 words on my story. Yayyy! :)
:D
Since 2009, I have been on ywp.nanowrimo.org. You should go look it up :) It is a writing challenge thing. How it works, is you set a word count goal, and during the month of November, you write a story, and try to reach your word goal. The website I wrote above is the "Young Writers Program." It is mainly for highschool and younger. The main site is nanowrimo.org and I just made an account on it, yesterday. You must be at least 13 years old to join it. Also, you must write at least 50,000 words in November to win, and you cannot change the word goal. This will definately be a challenge for me, but I think that I can do it. (At least I hope so :D ) :)
So yeah. Go check out NaNoWriMo (it stands for: National Novel Writing Month).

4237 Words!
So far, I have 4237 words! At the beginning of the story, Harrison was a doctor's apprentice. He became good friends with Kristine and her cousin, Elizabeth. Then he left to work with the naval military as a surgeon. He wrote to Kristine and her cousin a couple of times, but they never heard from him again after that..
I won't tell you the rest, because I don't want to ruin it :D So you'll just have to wait :)
yWriter5
I am using a program called "yWriter5" to write. You have to organize your writing into Chapters, and then into scenes. It is a good program, but it can be a bit annoying sometimes, because, if you are looking for something, then you have to find which scene what you are looking for is in. This can also be helpful, though, too, because then you are not searching the entire Word document, for example. Plus, because there are the aforementioned scenes, when you switch story settings, you should switch scenes and make a new one. This can get annoying, but I suppose it is helpful, too. I would recommend yWriter5, but only if you like things to be very organized, and if you have some patience. :)

Pirates
I am currently working on a piratical-fantasy type of story. I will occasionally post updates about this story. I am very excited to write it. I will try to write at least 1000 words a day. Two of my main characters are named Kristine Morgan and Harrison Williams. The main setting is an island, and the storyline will combine a fantasy/medieval aspect with a pirate-seafaring aspect. I have already made a rough draft of a map for this story, and when I have a more complete draft, I will post it.
Well, goodbye for now. :)

Welcome! :)
Hello and welcome to my blog! :)
My name is Leanna, or Lea for short. Please feel free to explore my blog, especially the "About" page.
Something I must say is that I love writing. So this blog is mostly a writing blog. But it is also a window into my crazy brain. So have fun :)
More posts to come! :) For now, goodbye. :)
